Who is a Candidate for Treatment?

Candidates for therapy are those individuals who will be able to follow through with a self-management program at home. A caregiver is a must in order to assist the patient or do the therapy in total. All components of the therapy will be taught in order for patient to self-manage. This is also helpful for when the patient has a flare up of the lymphedema.

Individuals who suffer from swelling disorders due to vascular changes are also treated.

These include:

  • Venous Insufficiency
  • Post Phlebotic Syndrome
  • Leg Ulcers

Lymphedema is a chronic, life-long disorder which requires continued use of compression garments and possibly bandaging.

At Schreiber Rehab Clinic, compression garments are fitted and available for purchase.*
